How it Works

The energy currency of our trillions of cells is ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate). Virtually all the food we eat and all the oxygen we breathe is used to make these ATP molecules so that we can have energy. Athletes require nearly 200 pounds of ATP per day!!! Most of the ATP is produced in our mitochondria, which are known as the powerhouse of the cell.
